Preset and saving your setup / presets and so on
In the GUI, you find that different presets are created or for apply in the different areas ( fx, color , levels and so on) This presets are hooked to your timeline component, so if you export (right click/ export ) your timeline, there is where your presets are stored and exported. ( if you stop your timeline and adds a new timeline component, this will not contain the presets you had before, in this case you (right click / import ) your stored timeline and choose merge or whatever, your presets will be there. Before you can access them, you need to tell the Hippo that you are now using a new timeline, so go to settings, GUI settings, click on the preset tab, choose the new timeline instead, you will now have a timeline with your old presets.
You will see the different categorys of presets, fx , color, etc...the way to make a "complete" preset, is to right click on your output layer window, where the preset will store everything, all layers.all fx,colors and master.
Give you time to get familiar with this as it is a basic knowledge when using Hippo in timelines and not using a dmx console. Mediamanager, right click / export, same procedure but in this case it is your content ( in mediamap or the all library) Midi, same, this is where you export your midi map set up So in short words, export the components are the way to " save show", (why you don´t have a simple " save show", that includes all your components, with timeline(s), mediamap, midi, dmx and so on settings is still a mystery for me, but I think that this is the way they decide to have it!)
A good thing is to get a nice little USB harddrive, store everything there so you don´t get frustrated in matter of a harddisc chrash or something that all your bacups was actually on the machine ( bac up is to be consider as a "another disc that are stored safely somewhere else)
