Post Restore Critter with purchased dongle
Recovery Image for the Critter Important Step: Before you use the Recover Image USB stick you need to save the RC.hwk and all the
Medias that you have imported onto another USB stick. The RC.hwk is located on the C: drive.

Step1: Plug the USB stick into the Critter and Switch it on. •
Press the Delete button to go to the Bios Setup Utility •

Step2: On the Advanced section go to the USB Configurations\USB Mass Storage Device
Configurations\Emulation Type - press enter and select Hard Disk. •
Press the ESC button twice to go back to the Bios Menu. •

Step3: Go to the BOOT section\ Hard Disk Drives\select the 1st Drive and change it to <USB: Easy
Disk> • Hit ESC and F10 to save the configurations •

Step4: After the machine reboots it will boot from the USB stick and take you to the Recovery Image
Settings. • On the first Window that appears click OK. •
On the next window answer yes to the question •
On the final Question window click YES. •
When the Restore image is finished you need to click Reset the Computer. •
When it restarts you need to remove the USB stick •

Step5: When it reset’s you will need to set up windows.

The Microsoft Windows licenses are on the right side of the metal bracket or on the top of the metal bracket inside the critter.
When you import the license key on the next step which is ‘Help Protect your PC’ you need to click Not Right now.
Then you need to activate the windows over the internet. You will arrive at the Register with Microsoft screen. You need to click No not at this time. Next you need to create a user. When you are finished and the windows loads up you will see another user called VJ. If you sign up with this user then you will need to go to User Accounts and delete the user that you created.

Final step: on the C: drive you will find an existing RC.hwk which you need to delete and copy the one you saved on the extra USB stick.
