SDI capture freezes with DVI card used same time
Problem: SDI live capture freezes after a few seconds when also capturing DVI input signal.
More details:
This problem applies to Hippotizer version 3.0.14 and later running on i7 HD systems.
If you have a unit with a Datapath Dual DVI capture card and a Elecard HD Access2 HD-SDI the SDI signal will appear to freeze when capturing NTSC or PAL.
On the layer control if you click 'Disable' and then 'HD-SDI' it will start working again, but then freeze after a few seconds.
This problem seems to only occur when you are capturing DVI and the format of the incoming SDI signal is NTSC or PAL, 720p and 1080i signals do not freeze.
Possible work-arounds:
1- If you need to capture live video using all three inputs, increase the incoming resolution on the HD-SDI card to a higher resolution, e.g. 720p.
2- If you are unable to change the resolution of the incoming SDI signal and really need that format, then you cannot capture DVI at the same time on another layer
