What models will work in a grasshopper ? The have a SDI/HD dual card called DUO, will that work in the grasshopper? or it is just the smallest one? And do you know the latency for that?? if it is to low and you can not really use it for close ups on a singer or on a talking person? |

Hmm, funny!! I just get the same question just about BlackMagic cards 10 minutes ago..... To be sure I am not really sure, but will find out! We did tests before woth the single card HD/SDI and was just getting the SD signal to work as I remember. The latency was not really good then, we compare that to the old SDI card and did not see any better performance ( maybe slower). But I will find out and get back to you about it, we have decided to go with the datatpath DVI cards that works great, for SDIHD we use the card that GH sells and they are really fast, lipsync works great! Priced high but worth it!! |

This will work: Single HD-SDI, duo HD-SDI and studio( Single input with either composite, s-video, YUV, HDMI or HD-SDI) will work as info from GH people. GH have a patch for 3.0.14 but proper release for 3.1. With the BlackMagic Dou SDI/HD, you won´t get 2 inputs only one in Hippotizer , just to be clear! The latency is still to be answered, I can bet that it is NOT near the HD/SDI card that GH are offering anyway. So give me a call or mail and I will send the patch to you. |
