Increasing the list price of the HippoPortamus due to reflect the changes in specification, increased hardware prices and the increased flexibility and power of an unrestricted output. Also HD will increase in price as well. this reflects inflation, the increased cost of components and the addition of 2 x Parrot EDID devices as part of the system.All this will be made from May 1:st 2011 Notes: HippoPortamus retains all the features you have come to expect from a Hippotizer allowing playback of video up to HD 1080p in rich smooth quality. The built-in media encoding and media management features mean that handling content is a breeze. Realtime functionality and playback is enhanced by Hippotizer’s new software decoding features. HippoPortamus incorporates 6 layers of media playback and one output. Mixer functionality is incorporated along with all the usual effects, features and components, making this an ideal unit for operators who wish to design and evolve their shows while on the road. With Hippotizer software version 3.1, HippoPortamus gets an unrestricted output resolution, allowing for output splitters to be connected where more than one display is needed. For example with such a 3 way splitter, 2 layers could be run per output and videos can be mixed independently. Other perks include the Parrot EDID emulator as an optional extra and now that the media size restriction has been removed, you will also have access to full HD playback with unrestricted output resolution.
