PLASA 2009
As I seen, it seems that this will exposed at the booth at PLASA 2009 booth (2-R18) :
HippoCritter - Rackmount HippoCritter is now available in 19" rack-mount form. The feature set remains the same as the original truss-mount version. (hmmm. wonder if it is just placed on a rackplate or some more "solid" box.....have to see! )
HippoPortamus The ultra-mobile HippoPortamus, combines style & portability with the wealth of features you have come to expect from the Hippotizer. (well it was also in PLASA2008, so maybe the will release it this year???? )
HD-SDI input card HD-SDI input card options for Hippotizer HD and Stage. Unique implementation for Hippotizer gives class leading low latency. (Yummm!!! It will cost as it taste,....but....Yummm!!!!)

Re: PLASA 2009
Just to say I was at PLASA yesterday, and the Critter rackmount is infact a whole new case, 1u deep and very smart looking. Spec wise absolutely nothing has changed, but the PSU is internal so it just has an IEC inlet on the back - nice.
They were also showing a new flightcase option for the original Critter by 5star cases (in the UK) which looked smart and didn't cost too much. Still tempted to go custom on it though :-)
Anyone make it to the Uberpan launch today? I wish they'd publicised it a bit more!
Gareth.

Re: PLASA 2009
Some of the happy news!! TGA series import will be supported, Uberpan was up and working, Textgenerator ( with scroll ) working, videomapper was working. The rackmount Critter was looking good and hopefully on stock late november ( well..., yes?) Critter already in 3.0.14 in 720p mode for 2 layers. Screenthief and other goodies..... 5.1 and 7.1 sound support will be in 3.1, and so on......I did think it was overall a great show I had some discussions with Nigel and Sean, they are really taking it forward and I will be waiting to see what these to clever guys can do for the industry.....:-)
The release of 3.0.14 is soon, the release of 3.1 is ( again ) planned to be at the shift 2009/2010 so....

VideoMapper has been working since 5th of august :D:D
I am so sorry that I was at home instead of coming over to Plasa this year..well, maybe it was better to stay at home instead of spreading this flu of mine..
