You can control the Hippotizer with a DMX Tail. This consists of a DMX to USB connection. Hippotizer only supports through DMX TAILS . Controlling Hippotizer uses around 455 channels of DMX. This will give you full control of all features on all _layer_s. You can use 4 channels to control pre-made timelines. This gives the user control over the whole Hippotizer using just 4 channels. In Dual mode output the limit is 4 layers on each output,. DMX Tail is a option and can be bought from us or from Green Hippo Ltd. Hippotizer can be controlled in different ways through DMX. As standard Hippotizer can be controlled over Art-Net. This is controlled using one of the two network ports on the back of the Hippotizer. Local Area Connection 2 on the back of the unit is used for DMX Control this should be set to an IP address of 2.0.0.?. Local Area Connection 1 is utilized for HippoNet. You can also control the Hippotizer with a DMX Tail. This consists of a DMX to USB connection. Hippotizer only supports through DMX TAILS Controlling Hippotizer uses around 455 channels of DMX. This will give you full control of all features on all _layer_s. You can also use 4 channels to control pre-made timelines. This gives the user control over the whole Hippotizer using just 4 channels. This is similar to the feature of recalling presets in version 2. |

If I have already artnet on my desk, do I need this dmx tail or it is artnet there directly?? |

If you have Artnet, NO need for a dmx tail All Hippos are fitted with one HippoNet port and one standard network port. |
