Post DMX Tail replacement
Hippotizer will start but Windows reports a USB over current error.
On the Critter the unit will continuously reboot.

Problem Description:
In the last production batch of DMX tails Neutrik did some mechanical changes to their female DMX connector due to which it is possible that some of the cables can get in touch with the housing. the result of this is that the DMX-tail is not properly earthed any more. Although it doesn't work in this state it is completely safe as the USB device will create an over-current event. this is mandatory as part of the USB specification and will cause no harm to the DMX tail or the unit connected.

Resolution:
If you experience this problem please contact your dealer or GreenHippo directly and they will send you a replacement DMX tail and take the faulty unit back. In some cases the DMX tail can still be used by isolating the casing and not let it touch any metal parts. If you are not sure if your DMX tail works correctly simply connect it and bring the tail in contact with the metal case of the Hippotizer. If you don't see any errors your tail is not affected by this problem.

Any DMX tails purchased now have been tested against this fault as we have changed production procedures to cater for this event.
