ScreenThief explored...
Just tested a beta of the upcoming component that will be included in v3.1. This is so great and easy thing, looks great also.Still just PC laptops / computers that can be handled ( why???) , all the main speakers here is on Mac Book, Mac Air and MacBook Pro so......
So what is this then? A simple way to get your Powerpoint ( yeek!!) or whatever into a layer of the Hippo. Normally it is done by a VGA capturecard that produce a " almost good" screen, little blurry and shaky performance. This get you a sharp, fast screencapture from a laptop or Pc ( with a driver installed) just by adding the IP number that are set to that PC that are connected to your Hippo network by a switch. You can then choose by the IP the actual laptop to been seen on your layer. Still the fps is not 30 or 25 , seems more to be about 17 fps on my Sony Vaio ( but that is a crap computer, need to test it with a sharper , more modern one). So for me is animations maybe not supersmooth , text, pics everything looks great and sharp.
So any questions about what we think and so are welcome, I look forward to see it in a sharp version and FOR MAC´s also

Re: ScreenThief explored...
I have also found out that if you are connecting a Laptop that have a wireless connection, do DEACTIVATE this BEFORE you do the set up. After you have get the proper connection with the Hippo ( you give the Laptop a IP) and have started up the client software, THEN you can activate the second wireloss port, the you can have a web browser in a layer, cool and great.
I see a great future here, web browser, powerpoint or whatever to grab in this easy way.

Re: ScreenThief explored...
Is this also in the Hippo Critter and the laptop version or is it just for the HD and stage models. If so can you buy this as extra to a Hippo Critter for an example?? And how much will that be extra?
I think that this is the final thing for me to invest to a hippo ( Hippo Critter I think) if this work on that also. I now have a Arkaos with a not so good performance, even with new hard drives.

Re: ScreenThief explored...
All Hippo models are fitted with V3.0.12 ( soon V3.1 ). This is the same in all models. The only thing that change them apart is resolution, number of layers and number of outputs from the graphic card. So, yes...whatever if you have the HD or Critter you will have ScreenThief ( and a lot of more goodies later on) Just wait until you will see LightPaint!!!!
Remember that you will be able to get the new versions for all V3 as a free update. When heading at V4 it will be a charge ( like V2 to V3 )
