Since I don´t have a fancy big desk as you, I just try that with a Hog2 at Nobel gigg, then it was running..
We was to run everything from DMX but it ended up with manual timelines when we had short of time.
Johan West was checking the set up and then we had that working.
Maybe it have something to do with personalitys?
But let´s test it out deeper since I really want that to work. Otherwise we have to hazzle with the teadrinkers about this!!!

I have trying to get this working, but I have to agree......can´t get this working, need to get a proper console to test this!!!
I spent about 4 hours with this today, but ...nope!!!

So I think you are right, I have to "bang a danish head" to someone overthere.....
Will keep up the info on this progress!!! ( the function, not the mean attack on the teadrinkers)

Hey Guys,

As far as I know timeline control via DMX is actually working, it just could be documented more clearly what you need to do to get there:

In the timeline list in the User Interface you need to set the ID for each timeline as this will be refrerenced by the first DMX channel. If you haven't entered an ID then you can't "fire" this timeline. Channel 2 triggers the action on this particular timeline. PLease note that a command will only be triggered if a DMX value changes. For example timeline 1->Play (DMX values 1, 10) will trigger a play command the first time this is issued. If the timeline runs into a stop command and you wish to play again simple sending 1->Play won't do anything as the values have not changed. you need to insert a "nothing" cue in between (values 1, 0) before issued 1_Play again (1,10).

Hope this helps,

Sean

Ahh. I think the ID is the factor then!
Will check this a.s.a.p

Somebody have a more proper lightdesk then mine??? Just have a ETC smartfade small and that one is changing values if you breath when
touching the sliders.....hard to get exact then....

Thanks Sean !!
